La Maison Neuve gîtes in Madré is run by Christa and Marc, a couple with a shared passion for outdoor life and hospitality. Christa and Marc have been together for almost 24 years. Our loyal companion is Arie, our black-and-white cat, who greets everyone with a friendly head-bump and enjoys a life full of mouse hunting, sleeping, and eating.
Marc brings years of experience from the camping industry and is a true expert in camping and outdoor activities. Christa has a background as a volunteer coordinator and most recently worked as a team manager in elderly care. Together, we decided to leave our busy lives in Rotterdam behind and search for peace and space in the beautiful French countryside.
Here, in the serene surroundings of France, we have found our place and are excited to welcome you to one of our cozy gîtes.
We speak Dutch, German, English, and a little French and Spanish.
La Maison Neuve
La Maison Neuve is located in the peaceful village of Madré, on the border of three beautiful regions: Normandy, Mayenne, and Pays de la Loire. Here, you’ll find space, tranquility, and the charm of the French countryside. The three gîtes – Le Poirier, Le Pommier, and Le Cerisier – are tastefully decorated and fully equipped for a relaxing holiday.
Looking for a holiday home for two? Or a group accommodation for six or seven people? La Maison Neuve offers flexible options for couples, families, or friends. Each gîte has its own style and is surrounded by greenery and quietness.
The location is ideal. You’ll find the spa town of Bagnoles de l’Orne nearby, as well as walking trails, local markets, and beautiful lakes. A bit further away, but perfect for a day trip, are Mont-Saint-Michel and Parc Naturel Normandie-Maine.
A stay at La Maison Neuve means slowing down. Mornings start with birdsong, breakfasts are taken outdoors, and evenings end under the stars. It’s simple, peaceful, and authentic.
